Start with a business outcome

“More marketing” is not a goal. More qualified inquiries, better customer retention, or stronger awareness in a new market are clearer starting points. Pick one primary outcome and define how you will recognize progress.

Know which customer you are trying to reach

Your best-fit customer is more specific than an age range or a location. Think about what they need, what triggers their search, what holds them back, and what they need to believe before choosing you. Use real customer conversations wherever possible.

Find the friction before adding traffic

If people cannot understand your offer or easily contact you, more traffic may simply expose the same problem to more people. Review your website and follow-up process before increasing the budget.

Choose channels with a job to do

Give each channel a role. Search can capture existing demand; useful content can answer questions; email can support an ongoing relationship. Avoid launching every channel at once without the capacity to do each one well.

Agree on what you will learn

A plan should include a review rhythm. Decide which signals matter, how you will collect them, and when you will make decisions. A useful report connects activity to outcomes and ends with the next action.
